When I was taking my adult confirmation course a few months ago there was a guy who was using it as a “refresher” as he was studying to become a deacon. He was an athiest for the first 50 years of his life.

:yup: Yes, I agree and I think most everyone is wanting one. I definitely 😃 will be starting on mine this fall. It will take me that long to gather the materials and to find Mary for me. :clapping: Your garden is truly a work of art, beautiful, simply beautiful!

LOL then I am in trouble! I have a statue, painting, and a large blanket with Mary in my bedroom. I just think she’s beautiful and always have. I wasn’t even thinking about religion when I bought them. 😊
 
I don’t have DSL or fast internet speed, just dial up and that was worth every MINUTE it took to download!

And you guys, if you do make gardens, now’s the perfect time since many retailers, greenhouses and nurseries are clearing out their stock. The retaining bricks were clearanced at the farm 'n fleet store (some bricks were even FREE since they had some minor -and I do mean minor-breakage on the front), the foliage in my garden was under $20 bucks, and I think Mary was less expensive too.

So GET TO IT! I did it with my Dad’s help in under a day. So can YOU! 🙂 I told my Dad yesterday that Mary loves what he did for her. ❤️ He got this sheepish grin on his face. 😛
 
What a wonderful story. Your father is such a wonderful man, and he most love you very much. I will pray for him and all of your family.

Oh and thanks for the idea on the Marian garden I have been wanting to build one for a few years but I have no artistic talent. I can garden but to build a whole new garden seems so impossible especially one to honor our lady. Yours was beautiful, so I hope you don’t mind me stealing your idea. I will give you credit though. 😉

As a GIFT!

I tell you, I was laughing my head off and crying happy tears at the same time. OMG, I just have no words!!!

And she’s just perfect. She’s the perfect size, and you know something, someone could offer me a diamond-encrusted Virgin, and I’d turn it down. The simple, white resin Mary that my Dad picked out himself is the one that’s in my garden. Not only that, Dad kept referring to Mary as “her” and not as “it”. Plus, when we went to pick out annuals and perennials he’d say “this would look good next to her”, etc.

I just have no words. Jesus is just so, so good.
