Dear Brothers and Sisters,

What was it like? What unfathomable joy when Jesus appeared to His Mother on the Day of His Glorious Resurrection! The Gospels do not speak of this, but I trust that He Who is Love would reward her faith and allow her eyes to see Him in His Resurrected Body. The Gospels do not tell us too much about Mary our Mother, – only that which God intended to be preached first. Our faith is Christocentric, and as the Good News of Jesus began to be preached by the young Church Jesus founded, the Holy Spirit sent at Pentecost began to reveal more about her, for us to hear, through the teachings of His Church, and the devotion of His Saints.

Let us sing our Alleluia for all the great and loving things God has given us in Jesus, through Mary, “Regina Coeli” (Queen of Heaven"):

Queen of Heaven rejoice, alleluia: For He whom you were chosen to bear, alleluia, Has risen as He said, alleluia. Pray for us to God, alleluia.

V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. Because the Lord is truly risen, alleluia.

Let us pray: O God, who by the Resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, granted joy to the whole world: grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may lay hold of the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ our Lord.
