Romans 5:10-11
For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Jesus’ sacrifice reconciles us to God and this gives us hope of eternal life. It does not guarantee us eternal life.
Why He would do the first work (reconciliation) why we were yet His enemy and then not do the second work (save us) now that we are His children? Do you get the much more?

I sure do:
"For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we* shall be** saved by His life."*

Do you get the SHALL BE? **
We ain’t fully saved yet, friend. We have to finish the race first.

Wow, that’s interesting. In all of this I do not any one time read the HS moving in and out of the individual as a result of sin.
There is no Scripture that I am aware of that specifically states: The Holy Spirit moves out of the individual’s soul as a result of mortal sin. 🙂

The Holy Spirit’s presence in our souls is what gives our souls saving/sanctifying grace. My own flesh, by itself, is worthless. I cannot save myself. Grace alone in my soul is what saves me. The Holy Spirit dwelling in my soul is the only guarantee that I have eternal life. We expel Him from our temples/souls by committing mortal sins. He is Holy. He cannot live in a defiled temple/soul. We have no sanctifying life in us without His presence because He is Sanctifying Grace. It is He who maintains our sanctification and our justification and if He is absent, then we are spiritually dead.

Ezekiel 33:12-17
“Therefore you, O son of man, say to the children of your people: ‘The righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression; as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; nor shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.’ 13 When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die. 14 Again, when I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ if he turns from his sin and does what is lawful and right, 15 if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 16 None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is lawful and right; he shall surely live. 17 “Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their way which is not fair!

**After a person commits mortal sin, why doesn’t God remember any of the righteous works that this person has done?
**
It is because the Holy Spirit is no longer living in this person’s soul and so He cannot recognize this person as His own. It is only the Holy Spirit who can give a person’s soul spiritual life and He gives a person spiritual life only if He is dwelling within. He is the only guarantee that a person may inherit eternal life after death. If He is not dwelling within this person at his death, then this person is destroyed by the consuming fire of God. The guarantee (Holy Spirit) of this person’s salvation is no longer dwelling within this person’s soul.

John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
**
Our own flesh by itself is worthless. We cannot save ourselves. **Only God’s grace is able to save us. The Holy Spirit gives us God’s grace.

So, at Baptism, the power of God (the Holy Spirit) seals us as God’s own and by doing this, God gives us His sanctifying grace. Jesus Christ made it possible for us to receive this grace because He atoned for Adam’s Sin by offering Himself as a blood sacrifice (death on the cross) to His Father.

1 Corinthians 1:4
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

It is only the Holy Spirit dwelling within us who gives us our spiritual life and who saves us (justifies us) and keeps us saved because if and when He moves out because of mortal (deadly) sins, then we no longer have spiritual life and so we are no longer saved. He no longer knows us nor recognizes any of the good deeds that we did before we committed mortal sin.

This is why Jesus states:

Matthew 7:22-23
Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness (do evil)!’

When the Holy Spirit is no longer living within them because of their mortal sins, then Jesus cannot recognize them as His own on Judgment Day and He will therefore have no memory of having ever known them because they are dead spiritually. Since they are dead spiritually, He can not see nor remember any of their good deeds that they did while they were in the state of sanctifying grace. They are thrown into the fire and burned because they are worthless. Their flesh profits nothing without the Holy Spirit dwelling within their flesh in their souls/hearts. They receive God’s vengeance because they have insulted His grace.

Hebrews 10:26-30
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.”

to be continued…

Continued:

1 Corinthians 3:16-18
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17** If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him.** For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

The Holy Spirit makes our souls His temples when we are baptized. He moves in. His temple is defiled when we sin mortal sins. He then moves out. He cannot dwell in a defiled temple because He is Holy. He destroys (damns) our temples/souls if we commit mortal sins because we have defiled His temples. It is an abomination to defile His temple.

No none from you thank you anyway you are way too rude.nd that is not what Christ is like.
You mean like when he told the Pharisees they were "blind guides" and “whitewashed tombs full of dead men’s bones”? How’bout when he called them a “brood of vipers”?
Yeah - that’s not rude, now is it?
It was rude - but a NECESSARY admonishment.

But you are not Jesus

Do you get the* SHALL BE*?
We ain’t fully saved yet, friend. We have to finish the race first.
We are saved past, present, and future. We are continually being saved. That is His promise and hope we have within.

But I AM called upon to admonish the sinner (Matt. 18:15-18, 1 Timothy 5:20).
This is a chief spiritual work of mercy.
You still are not Jesus and in doing so you are very rude. In all things do in LOVE. And that is what is missing in your so called admonishments. Oh and just because one does not agree with you doen’t mean you are rught and they are wrong.

So how can one that walks away in “unbelief”, an apostate for example, be called a Christian who fell away? According to your statement above, that is not the case, which of course it is not the case. Unbelief is why anyone exposed to the gospel and rejects it and will go to hell.

**We should rename this thread “The Christian - one whom endures to the end!” **
**
Unbelief **can also mean disobedience.

Hebrews 3:16-19
For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

They proved that they did not really believe because they disobeyed God’s commands.

1 John 3:18
My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

You cannot simply talk the talk; you also have to walk the walk in order to inherit eternal life.

James 2:14
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? NO.

James 2:17
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

James 2:20
But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

James 2:26
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

You still are not Jesus and in doing so you are very rude. In all things do in LOVE. And that is what is missing in your so called admonishments. Oh and just because one does not agree with you doen’t mean you are rught and they are wrong.
Nobody said you had to agree with ME.
But - you have to agree with Christ’s Church, which is the “pillar and foundation of truth” (1 Tim. 3:15).

We are saved past, present, and future. We are continually being saved. That is His promise and hope we have within.
**CLOSE, but you aren’t saved until the race is done. You do, however, have a moral certainty of salvation, provided you remain in God’s favor and do not fall back into darkness.

Only then will you be saved.

Nobody said you had to agree with ME.
But - you have to agree with Christ’s Church, which is the “pillar and foundation of truth” (1 Tim. 3:15).
No I don’t, I agree with the Bible. Does it say Catholic Church?

No I don’t I agree with the Bible. Does it say Catholic Church?
***Where *does the Bible say that the Bible is the Authority? **My bible says that the Church is the FINAL Authority:
Matt. 18:15-18, 16:15-19, John 16:12-15, 20:21-23
.

I have already proven the paradox, that it is a one time deal and a life-long process, but since you see from the human perspective only; although I have demonstrated this numerous times; you still don’t see. I pray that Christ will remove your veil for His Namesake.

nowhere in Scripture does it say water baptism saves you; that is contradiction to the Word of God. Acts 2:38 is the only place where there appears to be a discrepancy, so if you hold on to that, then you hold onto human error and another gospel.
1 Peter 3:21
There is also an antitype which now saves us—**baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
**
Baptism now saves us.
The water of Baptism is not like bath water which cleanses only the dirt from our skin. Baptism is being “born again” by water and the Spirit. Being born again gives us a good conscience toward God because Baptism reconciles us to God. This is why we now have a good conscience. We have been spiritually regenerated by water Baptism.

John 3:5
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

John 3:7
Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

We become born again by water and the spirit. Baptism is this water and the spirit.

Titus 3:4-5
But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Baptism regenerates us spiritually.

***Where ***does the Bible say that the Bible is the Authority? My bible says that the Church is the FINAL Authority:
Matt. 18:15-18, 16:15-19, John 16:12-15, 20:21-23.
The Church being the Catholic Church is not mentioned.

Based on your analysis of Scripture, no one will be in heaven. 👍
This is what Scripture says:

1 Peter 4:18
Now “ If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Matthew 7:13-14
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Luke 13:24
Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Why does Jesus stand ready to always make intercession for the saints on earth? Because we have an accuser, the District Attorney called Satan, but we have the best defense attorney in Jesus, who has never lost a case & never will before the Father.
Titus 1:16
They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

What happens to people who deny Jesus?

Matthew 10:33
But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

He denies them. He does not intercede for people who deny Him by doing evil deeds.

He is the author of eternal salvation for only those who obey Him. Hebrews 5:9

What happens to people who do not either know Him or else do not obey Him?

2 Thessalonians 1:8
n flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus does not intercede for evil doers. He takes flaming vengeance on them.
