Omaha, Neb., Oct 4, 2010 / 09:07 pm (CNA/EWTN News).- The Archdiocese of Omaha announced on Oct. 4 that the leader of contemplative group the Association of the Hermit Intercessors of the Lamb was asked to resign from her position following a canonical visitation. According to the archdiocesan spokesman, the questioning of the association’s members produced “alarming” findings.

Looks like they need to regroup. I hope they can work out the issues and advance in the future.
 
I had a friend involved with them, it didn’t go over well.

What always had me confused is they think lay folks can do an exorcism just like a Priest.

What does exorcism have to do with sex?

There was nothing in the news story about any sort of sexual misconduct…unless I wasn’t reading it correctly.

I know a woman who is a member of the Intercessors. She made her perpetual vows in 2006. For a few years after she entered, she would call and bug me from time to time to come out for a ‘discernment retreat’. That’s how she got involved with them, by going on one of these ‘retreats’. I hope that the issues can get cleared up so the group won’t be suppressed. My friend is a little older than I am, and it would be hard for her to have to pack up and return to secular life. She’s got a PhD, but it’ll make no difference in a tight job market.

That’s what the rest of us want to know. Ya see Luigi said I made a Freudian slip which normally means a slip of the tongue with a sexual context.

He might have been trying to say I am a closet Catholic with my comment on Lay people doing exorcisms like a Catholic Priest would. But it just seemed off for a supposedly devout Catholic group to teach this…
 
I went there looking for help for a friend who is possessed. I was shocked to find out that they had no idea how to do a deliverance. They did not want me present and tried to keep me out until the group threatened to leave altogether. Now I realized why they wanted to keep it private. Mother Nadine has no spiritual gifts and is very deceitful. The group is nothing but a cult believe me.

another calumny. what you have said is groundless. I would like to say why, but I’d rather keep my mouth shut because this is a sensitive case.
