Why would you want your husband to avoid using biofuel???can anyone give me some web addresses of why using bio energy as a catholic is not a good idea?? or has anyone got experience of it? i’m trying to put my husband off going to it. thanks
and it sounds like you were right!proving once again CAFers, collectively, know everything. I thought she was talking about some new age alternative health thing.
I think I know what you mean by bio energy. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law just purchased a machine called Spectravision. She is a chiropractor and they are planning to open this as a business. My entire family has been scanned and now I am questioning whether or not it is something we should support. There seem to be many potential medical benefits, but it also raised questions for me.
It worked like this: They strapped an electrode to my wrist and the machine read energy or vibrations, (maybe electrical repsonse?) from my cells. Then it tells you what viruses you’ve been exposed to or would be especially harmful to you, what you’re allergic to, what toxins you may have in your body, etc. It recommends nutritional supplements and homeopathic remedies. Some of the more questionable areas for me were when it gave colors that were calming for me and a flower essence, which contained a description of myself that actually would only have been known by someone who knew me quite well. Others’ descriptions aren’t always that clear though.
I can’t determine if this is using real scientific means to determine these things and recommend the homeopathic remedies and vitamins, or if it’s something different. I think it could get into people recommending things like reiki, but I’m wondering if it can be used in a purely medical sense. I’m hoping to contact the Catholic Medical Association to see if they have heard of it yet (someone at Catholic Answers actually just recommended I do that). If anyone has any other thoughts, I’d appreciate hearing them as well.
Thank you!
