I was going to warn you, this chart will be questioned by some folks.

More than just “some” here I’m sure. If they take the time to look into the methodology, it’s hard to refute.

Hopefully at least it will convince some to widen their news window. Or at least prompt them to question their one true “objective” news source.

I am surprised when younger people have no clue about what’s happening locally or even nationally or globally.

Recently there was a shooting of a policeman in our area. When I mentioned it at work, one of the younger women at work said, “What happened anyway? I was on Facebook and everyone was talking about it, but no one knew the facts!”

Now this isn’t some high school kid working her way to college. This is a college grad and 2nd in command in our department! But she hadn’t actually tuned into any news, read a paper, or even googled “cop shooting Northern Illinois.” She gets her news from Facebook, and it sounds like she gets it mainly from her Facebook friends!’

How accurate do you think that is?

But she seems to be the norm in younger people. Ai yi yi.

I believe this is one reason why Pres. Trump does a lot of his communicating via social media. He knows that no one cares what NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox says because they aren’t WATCHING these stations or listening to talk radio (Rush/Hannity/Levine). They’re all checking their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat accounts, and that’s where Pres. Trump hangs out. He’s not so stupid!

I like EWTN news because they’re very clear about their bias “from a Catholic perspective”.
So you know what you’re going to get.
MSM pretends at being unbiased, which is worse than being honest about what your POV is.

Unplugging from “news” can be a healthy thing. I did it years ago, kinda like a cleanse, and now only read select items, not every day, like eating only small portions with much intentional fasting.

Actually, getting local news from Facebook is often more accurate because people who know the folks involved or were on the scene can post directly. There is no need for reporter as middleman; most local news reporters these days are poorly trained, make numerous errors (and sometimes get upset when people point them out) and in many cases are writing/ sourcing the story from Facebook and Twitter posts. They also edit a lot out. It’s more accurate to just go read the original posts. I do.
