Thank you for your presence there! I’m off to shop, but will be back this evening… I sure need a break and some prayers. I’m getting a little perturbed by her taunting and it’s really showing in my posts.

Pray for us sinners (me)

Sir Knight:
Good to see ya there. Maybe another person explaining things another way will make a difference. Let’s see. That’s what I was TRYING to do a few times but it didn’t work.
Do not give up hope. All things are possible through Christ who streangthens me.

I doubt that you are like me in a personal effect but, here is what I do when I get rather frustrated.
I remeber two key facts.
1.We are to be of one mind/body (St. Paul)
2.I am (only part but I lie about it sometimes) German (I ethnic group that has been historically known to highly praise order and dispise what one of my heros {Metternich} called “the Revolution”, sort of making it my moral obligation to help such people that don’t follow the rules)

Of coarse, I must (though sometime shamfully I don’t) remeber and dedicate it to the greater glory of Christ, whom I (always) should do this task, as well as for other people that I care about. This ussaly lifts me up above frustration to remind me of who and what I am And what I am called by my lord to do.

Yes, your right. He is a rather unplesent fellow. 😦
Also, He invited evryone here to try and show him his err so if anyone wishes, he is calling. 😃

A Jewish colleague asked me, quite seriously, “Do Catholics know, or admit, that Jesus was a Jew?”
How can someone live for 50 years in an 80% Christian country and never have heard of the basic Christian belief that Jesus is the Messiah who was promised to the Jews? He seemed to think that if we DID know or admit that Jesus was a Jew, that would destroy the whole basis of Christianity.

Someone seriously believes this???
True story…

My father in law, who’s 86 now and loves to tell us all about the old days, mentioned the concept of “pew rent”. I had never heard that term before, but apppearantly, it was an annual or semi-annual tithe, normally just a few dollars, that supposedly guaranteed you a seat for the traditionally crowded Masses (Christmas & Easter).

I told him I had never heard of that and he added that he hadn’t seen it done for years (pre Vatican II era), but used to be done regularly. I still thought he was nuts, so I asked some other senior citizen members of our parish, and they said the same thing. I laughed.

Still, it would have come in handy tomorrow night, when Mass will be SRO at our parish. 😛

I heard that the “catholic” Bible has 7 LESS books! I said, “no, it’s actaually 7 more, but that’s not the whole truth…”. She said, “NO! It’s 7 LESS!”

Then I said, “MOM! It’s 7 LESS!” 😛
