Hearing the devil's whispers: HELP!

Ever since I was confirmed like a week ago, I have been tempted to and fro with pornography, and I have defiled myself soooo many times! I pray, and pray for the light, and beg for forgiveness but I end up falling back to the same traps! There are times where, right after offering my day to God, I end up watching pornography!
I am imploring your prayers. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME WORDS OF WISDOM TO KEEP ON WITH THIS FIGHT OF THE SPIRITS!

You’ve already taken a huge step by understanding that what you’re doing is wrong and that it feels uncomfortable. I suggest that you keep praying as much as possible - pray the rosary, go to church weekly, keep talking on CAF. Also, surround yourself with good friends who will help you out in this difficult time. Don’t give up! God will always be there for you, and He will always love you no matter what happens. You’re a child of God! I’ll keep you in my prayers.

How to defeat the work of Satan : Taken from THE PIETA PRAYER BOOK

After having a vision of the war that is coming between St. Michael and satan over the Church in the future, Pope Leo XIII wrote the following prayer,

St. Michael the archangel, defend me in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou or Prince of the heavenly Host by the power of God cast into hell satan and all evil spirits that roam about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

Another very strong prayer against satan.

O Divine Eternal Father, in union with Your Divine Son and The Holy Spirit, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary I beg You to destroy the power of Your greatest enemy - the evil spirits.
Cast them into the deepest recesses of hell and chain them there forever! Take possession of Your Kingdom which You have created and which is rightfully Yours.
Heavenly Father, give us the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I repeat this prayer out of pure love for You, with every beat of my heart and with every breath I take. Amen

Thirdly, look up the Novena Chaplet of St. Michael and pray it for the defense of your soul.

Fourthly, go to www.queenship.org and get the small pray book IN THE END MY IMMACULATE HEART WILL TRIUMP and complete the 33 day prayer exercise in which you dedicate your heart to Jesus through Mary.

Fifth - science has demonstrated through brain scans, that pornography has a comparable chemical effect on the brain as does cocaine. IT IS ADDICTIVE. You need to seek professional counseling and support groups. You are addicted to porn. Your ability to separate yourself from that addiction by your own strength is very limited. The very fact that you seek it our right after praying is proof.

Sixth - Get rid of all the electronic media upon which you view porn. Do not keep them in your house or apartment. Why provide satan an inlet into your weakness.

The Virgin Mary, in 1917 when She appeared to the children in Fatima advised that most souls in hell are there for sins of the flesh. Porn is a terminal disease for the soul. You must seek all the heavenly and earthly assistance you can, to overcome the addiction and recover your soul.

How old are you. If you are a teenager and this is really a srong and strangling compulsion then your culpability may be diminished greatly.

For me as an older guy 33 when I succumb to this sin it would be more grave as my hormone are not raging and the compulsion I had when I was younger is GREATLY reduced. Hence for me when I do it truly is a conscious choice and very grave.

You are struggling and God knows you love Him. Certainly you should feel contrition for your sin and then rest in God’s might that can overcome any difficulty in you. Talk to your priest in COnfession and pray to Mary as others no doubt have said.

MOST important- DON"T GIVE UP your struggle but make it a healthy and not oppresive struggle. The Devil can work through grinding guilt as well- the kind that breeds despair.
 
I recommend getting the “Pure of Heart” audio series by Jason Evert. It is supposed to help with pornography addictions. You can by it in the CAF gift shop.
 
There is a great cd put out by Lighthouse Catholic Media: Defeating Satan’s Deadly Weapon Against Men. I recommend it.

Please Jesus help this young man out w/ his addiction, St Michael, and his guardian angel I pray that you will assist this person he needs all the strength and help he can get - In Jesus’ Name I pray :crossrc::sad_yes:

Please take the time and read PSALM 51 as part of your evening prayers
 
Satan always looks for our weaker areas and harasses those who love Him. I will pray for you! We all need each other to pray for each other. Thank goodness you know it’s wrong and you know your being tempted…that’s half the battle.
