Hi I’m a guy who fell in love with this girl, and than I found out that she was gay. At this point I feel like that I will never love again.

Hi yk,

I am sorry.

In time, you will feel better, although it doesn’t seem that way right now.

Just keep an open heart and mind, and you never know when the right woman will come along for you.

Prayers said for you.

May God bless you in this time of sadness for you.

Take some time to let yourself heal from these hurts and let God help comfort you. I will pray for you to move forward.

Memorare

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

:hug1:

That’s rough. This scenario seems more and more common in modern times, but it doesn’t make that any easier.

I’ve also fallen in love with guys, who have later turned out to be gay.

I went online, saw how to work with a broken heart on WikiHow.

Here’s one from that…wikihow.com/Fix-a-Broken-Heart

Also, easier said than done, but in future relationships, it’s advisable to try to learn a bit about the person, trying not to fall head over heels in love until certain things are determined…if the person is straight…not married, not having a boyfriend…

Although, equally, our feelings are our feelings.

The link I provided has a lot of good tips, but also time will tend to cause this to fade. They say “time heals all wounds”. With enough time, you might even forget her name.

I hope you will be able to love again. You probably will, given enough time. Love, is sometimes quite painful, to a point we would rather shut down to all future possibilities. I think you have a lot to offer…to give and receive. Though painful, I think love is worth it. Give yourself some time.

Good luck and God bless! 🙂

of course you do.

that is normal.

will you heal?

yes.

will it take time.

yes.

hang in there - you are in our prayers.

I was engaged to a man when he came out as gay. (Interestingly, he wanted to “make it work”-I was the one who ended it). I understand the pain and total humiliation that comes with that. If you need to chat, feel free to PM me. It’s rough at first for sure, but in a few years, she’ll never even cross your mind.

It is painful to be attracted to the idea of a person who turns out to be a different person.
When we feel we love who we think the person is, but they are not that person, we feel the loss keenly.
I will pray that you will recover, and will find someone who really is for you.

Kind wishes,

Trishie
