Please pray for my sister, Elaine, as she goes in for quadruple bypass surgery on her heart in the morning. She is 61, is a lapsed Catholic and is refusing the Sacrament of the Sick as she adopted Evangelical beliefs. Please pray for God’s will to be done in this, and if it pleases Him, to let her be with us awhile longer. Thank you, my dear brothers and sisters.
 
Lord, please draw Elaine through this and all matters in life, that she might ever draw close to your Sacred Heart with graces for faith, hope, love, joy, and courage. Send angels to watch over her and to guide all medical staff working with her. Touch her with your divine, healing hand, and remedy her every affliction, spiritual or physical. Comfort also any family or friends who bear this cross with her. Lead them all ever toward the eternal garden of peace. Cleave the dark shadows of this world with a foretaste of heavenly light, that the souls on pilgrimage in this temporal exile may not lose hope and heart. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Elaine. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Elaine’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
 
Praying that Elaine’s surgery will go well. Also praying for her spiritual well-being.
 
Praying for Elaine’s health & recovery & successful surgical outcome.

Elaine’s surgery has been postponed until tomorrow due to another emergency heart patient whose need was dire. She is very fragile, both emotionally and physically. Thank you for your prayers. I will update this as we know anything.
