Everywhere around me I see prayers big and small answered. It seems superabundance of God’s grace is all around me---- except for me.

I desperately need some encouragement and hope…I’m hurting and my heart is breaking.

Praying that you might find courage, hope, and healing.

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

I am so sorry. I’ve been there. Experienced career disappointments, family troubles, intense loneliness, and things didn’t work out with the love of my life. Didn’t feel like I had a reason to get up in the morning.

What happened…

In the long haul, after much reflection, struggling with God, asking questions, going on lots of long walks, etc. etc. I came to see that the darkness was a great gift. It forced me in a way I would never have chosen, to love God above all things and to secure my identity, well-being, and joy in trusting in Him. Granted, this is a life-long process, but my sufferings made me a new woman.

It may not seem this way now, but the seeming absence of graces and prosperity is a sign that God is working heavily on you to make you a great saint. God wants all of your heart. He’s permitting you to go without whatever it is that you might prioritize over him. He is permitting this suffering because he knows your true spiritual potential and wants to shape you into a soul with a spiritual depth that the world doesn’t understand. You won’t comprehend those depths either until you pass through this test.

You are greatly blessed and loved by God! The Saints overwhelmingly attest to the value of suffering and that it is a gift from God to try those He wants to invite to a deeper level of trust and relationship with Him.

Great things are in store for you as you pass through this period of purification and discover a joy the world does not understand, and a joy that is not attainable without carrying a cross, in emulation of our Savior. You will not know Christ unless you carry a cross; to know the glory of Christ, you must also join Him on Calvary.

God bless you! You will remember this time as perhaps the least enjoyable in your life, but quite likely the most profound, pivotal, and meaningful in shaping your temporal and eternal destiny. The key is to patiently hang in there and draw closer to God through prayer, devotions, and the sacraments.

“Rejoice in hope, patient in tribulation and devoted to prayer”. - Romans 12:12

And when I am feeling down or stressed out I like to read this:

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” - 1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. God loves you. Be patient. Continue to pray that His will be done. He is doing what is best for you even if it seems like it’s not.

Praying that the Lord may grant you strength and courage. Also praying for your healing.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Let some of the other posters have said,
dry periods are a necessary part of “grow-
ing up” spiritually, it’s NORMAL, God IS
working in your life, smile… for God!!

Praying for you, agapewolf…

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. *Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen

Praying that God will pour His grace down upon you and abundantly bless you.

Thanks for those that offered prayers.

I’m not trying to be ungrateful, but I wrote on this board because this is a rule:

KEEP THE TOPIC PRAYER INTENTIONS & PRAYERS, ONLY
The Prayer Intentions board is not intended to be used as a place for debate, discussion, or advice.

I really could use just the prayers.

You will be included in my thoughts and prayers during my morning Office - as well as all those who trust in God and are waiting for His will to work in their lives.

Believe me, agapewolf, you are not alone. :console:

I often need to remind myself that while God answers every prayer, the answer could be Yes, No, or Wait.

May God heal your heart & bring you comfort.

Lord, you taught us that the persevering petitioner will have her day in the parable of the unjust judge. How much more shall you fly to the petitions of Christian children. With mercy and tenderness, bless agapewolf with comforting and guiding angels, that the poison and suffocating fumes of this fallen and temporal world be scattered, that she might breath your boundless and heavenly love. Instill in agapewolf many graces for faith, hope, love, joy, wisdom, understanding, and temperance. May her perseverance draw other souls with her ever toward the eternal banquet of joy. Have mercy, Lord, and delay not her petitions nor any of the Father’s children. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Very thoughtful and well written.

Praying for the Lord to move in your life in mighty ways and for your burden to be lifted. May the Lord’s will be done in your life and may you experience His many blessings.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon agapewolf in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Prayer to St. Augustine

We humbly supplicate and beseech thee, O thrice-blessed Augustine, that thou wouldst be mindful of us poor sinners this day, daily, and at the hour of our death, that by thy merits and prayers we may be delivered from all evils, of soul as well as body, and daily increase in virtue and good works; obtain for us that we may know our God and know ourselves, that in His mercy He may cause us to love Him above all things in life and death; impart to us, we beseech thee, some share of that love with which thou so ardently glow, that our hearts being all inflamed with this divine love, happily departing out of this mortal pilgrimage, we may deserve to praise with thee the loving heart of Jesus for a never-ending eternity.
Amen.

Lord, my faith feels weak. I sometimes doubt You and do things
I wish I hadn’t done. But in weakness there is strength, and I
thank You for the wonderful truth of what You do for human
lives. You give us life; vibrant, exciting, unending life with an
enthusiasm that never runs down. Help me to believe that with
all my heart. For this I thank You.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
