Hello everyone,
Long time forum reader, first post. This is not quite vocations related, but does involve some discerning.
I’m about to spend a week with the organisation Heart’s Home - this comes after a lot of searching for where God might be calling me to spend a substantial time in my life in service for Him. I have not yet met Heart’s Home in person, but have been in touch with the Sr who runs recruitment, and have felt welcomed and good about it all so far. I’m excited to be meeting her and some of the missioanries. After this week, I will be making a decision about whether to spend 14 months as a volunteer.
I would love to hear any experiences people have had with Heart’s Home missionaries, any encounters people have had with the organisation. The smallness, intimacy and humilty of what I have learnt of Heart’s Home so far has pulled at my heart. Any general advice (and prayers!) about how to approach the final decision making would be appreciated too.
