Heaven and those we knew in our physical life

Hi all,

What does the church teach about seeing those in Heaven who we knew in our physical life? Will we “recognize” them in a sense? If so, would this only apply to those we were closest to, or could it include acquaintances? Also, what about married spouses?

On a side note, my Catholic friend made a comment that, if we do recognize each other, it will be almost insignificant compared to getting to be with GOD!!! All our focus will be on Him anyway!!!

Hi, yes, we will recognize everyone we knew on earth, and we would still have our personalities… we’ll just be sinless and perfected 🙂 (MORE ourselves, not less:thumbsup:)
