If heaven exists outside of time, does that mean you or me could already be there? I hope you understand what I’m asking.

I think that if heaven exists outside of time, but we do not, then there is no likelihood that we could be there now.

does that make sense? 🤷

Isn’t the truth that God is able to comprehend past, present, and future in one single thought while our feeble human ability to comprehend has difficulty even understanding the difference? Our inability to comprehend does not change the fabric of time.

As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be a kingdom without end.

Yes you are already there and were always there. You are a spiritual being having a temporary and brief corporeal existence. Death will not put you or me in to a sleep. On the contrary. We are now dreaming. We will in time awaken to the true reality.

St. Augustine said Heaven is eternal but not co-eternal with God. I don’t think we are there right now, that would imply some sort of pre-destination. Clearly, we are limited by time. When we die, hopefully, God will take our soul to Heaven and we will exist in Heaven. Additionally, If we were in Heaven right now, we could pray for ourselves on earth and that is impossible.

The happiness of heaven consists essentially in the vision of God.

“Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.

The Church is the mystical bridge between heaven and earth - a sort of Jacob’s Ladder. The earth is being transformed into Christ’s Kingdom and when Jesus’ enemies have been made his foot stool and His people persevere in their part of Divine Providence Christ will return to turn it all over to the Father and become Heaven on Earth - God’s Kingdom (the new recreated Heaven and Earth). We are a new creation - God’s restored people. The Kingdom IS here. Have you not heard “behold the Kingdom of God is at hand” and “nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.” (Mark 17:21). God’s people are here in The Church - there is the kingdom! It is being perfected as we speak - stone by living stone around the foundation of Peter with Christ as the cornerstone and the pillars of the apostles and saints. The new tower of babel - those who attempt to build a secular and humanistic Christianity is trying to compete but it is being fragmented into a thousand pieces such that no stone will be left standing.

The Kingdom of God exists in the beatific vision of God and was foreseen from before time began. God has chosen to manifest His Kingdom in both the spiritual and material domains - both in and outside of time. We humans are made to exist in the material and spiritual world. I think it is safe to say that at the new Creation we will be able to step into and out of time at will just as the angels do and just as Christ did at the resurrection and ascension.

Time is a construction of thought and is relative to the viewer. Heaven is not a question of relativity but is reality.

I’m going to put this as simply as I can.

Yes, Heaven is outside of time, heaven is eternal.
God is eternal, He always was, is, and will be

WE, on the other hand, are NOT eternal, we have a beginning: conception.
we were not always, but we are and always will be.

do you see what I am saying?

WE have a beginning, and that is IN time, we are subject to time until we die and our souls are separated from our bodies (I’m not going to get into the resurrection of our bodies and the reunion with our souls because that’s not the point I’m trying to make)

We live from moment to moment. God does not. He does not “foresee” the future, but “sees” the future like we see the present, because He is simultaneously in the past, present, and future, all at the same time. To be in heaven, is to be united with Him. We are not united with Him, yet, but hope to be. Therefore, we are “stuck” in time, living from moment to moment, being tested to see if we can make it to heaven.

Even science documents that time( and space) is not a constant. Speed and light alters them.

Yet, it seems the same as long as you are in that time and space.

I cannot get my mind around those facts, so how can i understand eternty and omnipresence of God?

Such is the stuff of faith.

Q: Is there time in Heaven?
A: No. Heaven is outside the space-time continuum we call the ‘world’ or the universe.
Q: If there is no time in Heaven then there can be no before or after there.
A: That’s right.
Q: So, Hell and Purgatory notwithstanding, my great-grand parents won’t reach Heaven before I do, nor will my great-grand children reach there after me.
A: Perhaps we’re in both Heaven and Hell. It’s only on our death that the matter is resolved one way or the other. It’s a bit like Schroedinger’s cat; it’s both dead and alive until you open the box.

Heaven is eternal, but we are not. Therefore, if we prayed to ourselves in heaven we would be presuming our salvation. That is presumption of salvation and as I understand a sin against the Holy Spirit.

The conundrum is this. If you will go to heaven, you are there now. But that’s a big IF.

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago–whether in the body I do not know, or out of body I do not know, God knows–such a man was caught up to the third heaven. 2 Cor 12: 2 NASB Sounds possible in at least some respect.

Scripture IS the intended doctrine, IS the intended statement of faith, IS authoritative, a representation of the true Church, containing the exact Gospel, reveals God’s purpose, testifies about Jesus, and explains the way of salvation. Man’s interpretation of the Scripture can generally only approach its truth. dtg13.com
