I write the heading as a line from one of my my favorite books, “The Compleat Gentleman” by Brad Miner.
The fifteen minutes after the divine Species denatured itself in my body (after Mass) today, I pondered within myself the mystery of what is in store for us in heaven, and this CAN be known by natural reason if it is developed to understand, already, the fullness of the natural law. The fullness, mind you. Before you call me an elitist, prick, or chauvinist, I put in the work; I attained the wisdom and knowledge.
I’ve seen questions over the years here wondering what heaven is like, and I will give you the human, natural equivalent of the answer to that question.
Whichever level of heaven we attain, be sad though we may be now that we will not attain a higher degree, heaven is an incomparable gain over the attainments of this life, and hell will remind you of the good choices you made. So the loss of a higher degree will be eclipsed by the glory of the simple attainment of heaven.
Before I go on, this is not private revelation. This was not revealed to me. I’ve thought about this question for years, and have no reason to believe I am now wrong.
First, in heaven, we will be as is described in the Apocalypse, surrounded by a city of magnificence, streets of gold, gates of pearl, etc. And we will be before the throne of God, at the ineffable banquet table. There we will meet old friends, great champions of the faith, and all the saints, and we will be like children, restored to our original natural glory. And in this, we will be exceedingly glad, and will celebrate.
Over “time,” we will increase in the depth of our heart, and grow wise, quieter, more evolved in our heavenly works of composing, writing, singing, and so forth. We will walk with a greater air of authority. Our smiles will carry more weight to them, and we may appear, not wrinkled or any Earthly form of age, wizened in our demeanor.
This will carry on, and soon, we will leave that heavenly city and sojourn out into the realms around and beyond. Now something I have not mentioned, though it may be common sense, is that our free will will be augmented to form our own destiny, though always for the good; there will be no dispositions to lesser glory. Continuing on, we will be accompanied with those who we fancy, our heavenly companions, and we will work nature to serve our wills, form outlying cities, and so on.
After some “time” of this, the magnificence of the heavenly kingdom will reach its apex, and we will then traverse into the realms beyond: other planets, the universe. We will form colonies there.
From then on, we will learn and have revealed the mysteries of creation to us, and we will form other planets, and take joy in our creative faculties. Make no mistake, we will not form other human beings, or creatures in the image of God. We will have the limited ability to form nature, such as trees and animals, and we will live among them.
Did you not think technology would play a role in heaven? Technology is simply a manipulation of nature. We will return, after our many sojourns, with the knowledge we have attained, to the heavenly kingdom we began in, and we will create technology anew. One example is that we will have machines that we will be able to enter in, and be taken back in our “superficial” faculties to the times of this world. We will have many journeys with old friends, real or fake, and will do things we wished we could have done while on Earth now. We will also form things like espionage groups to undermine the corrupt companies of this world, in our machines in heaven, and will be vital in the collapse of them, and we will celebrate in glee in the glory of God, remembering our days on Earth when the evil grew so powerful that it was unstoppable by human means.
Finally comes the great mystery that no human can penetrate. The symbol of time and the fabric of our reality will cease, and our known universe will disappear, and we will enter with God into the state He was in before the creation of time and the universe. No human knows what this is like.
I can’t feign to say I experienced any of this in forming these conclusions, but I needed the consolation so badly, constantly attacked by demons telling me I would receive the lowest level of heaven. And indeed I believe I will, but this formation of heaven in my mind consoled me in the knowledge that, though it will matter in a form, I will be supremely happy and will never regret anything again. In this, I can subsist on until the end of my life in order to fight those temptations of despair.
