Will you recognize your spouse in heaven. I know that we will no longer have marriages; but will we remember the person?

If both you and he are in heaven, yes, you will definitely recognize each other!

Some persons very near death have seen “beyond the veil” and actually “saw” their relatives and friends who were waiting for them.

I do not know of a specific Scripture verse which claims this.

We will definitely recognize our loved ones. Our minds will be perfected, never to be corrupted, so we will have perfect fellowship with those whom we knew on earth. But, there is no marriage at all in heaven. We are no longer one flesh with our spouses.

Mark 12:25 “For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.” See Mark 12:18-27

This is why the wedding vows state “until death do us part.”

I only say this because this a weak argument that atheists love to jump on, to call us “mystic” and “superstitious”, so we have to be prepared to defend against it, so that we can explain that Heaven can be proved a priori, without the assistance of “visions”.
