Totally love Friar Alessandro. Have his first CD and hoping to get his next one.
 
What are some of the hymns on your CD, Avila? I may get one, too. I was not aware that he had a CD on the market.

I vaguely remember EWTN announcing an upcoming special with him, but unfortunately, I can’t remember when it will be broadcast.

I love his voice. I especially love “Panis Angelicus” (the 2nd link:thumbsup:) Beautiful!!God bless him.

You’re welcome, Megan. The hymn is one of my favorites, and it is even more lovely when it is sung by this Friar with his beautiful voice! Here is another group you may find joy in listening. The Priests singing Ave Maria … here.
 
You folks should meet him. Alex is awesome. He’s one of the sweetest people I know. He speaks English rather well. I truly enjoyed him at the Chapter of Mats. He led us in song. He’s fantastic. He’s also a great musician.

Lucky you!! The chances of my meeting him are slim to less than none. 😃

Yes, I agree with you. From what I have seen in the trailers on EWTN, he is very amiable, almost child-like. He gives such a warm feeling as we listen to him.

How blessed you are. I enjoy his singing even more when I watch him sing as I feel I get to hear the love for God in his voice as well as seeing it in his face.

Bump. My mother told me about Friar Alessandro because she saw him on Italian TV last night singing Adeste Fideles. This guy has a great voice!

I would have loved to have been around and hear all of you sing St Francis’ Prayer as Fra Alessandro did in Songs of Praise. Do I cry when I hear a Franciscan sing it? Yes.
