Do you think that masterbation is the sin that

1_corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.
Masterbation seems to be a common catholic sin.

I would say that the reference to sin in both Hebrews 12:1 and 1 Corinthians 10:13 is about sin in general and not a specific sin.

Hebrews is specifically talking about casting off the sin which easily besets us - there are many sins that beset us.

1 Corinthians is also being rather generalized. There isn’t a particular sin in reference there. Paul may have had an insight into the sins the individuals may have struggled with but we all struggle with temptation and sadly temptation doesn’t go away with age.

Unfortunately, I think there are rare occasions where the word “sin” can be plural without an “s” at the end. I would need an English professor to fact check that though. But if it is true then that could suggest that it isn’t just one sin going on.
