What little I know about Hebrew tells me that the “-im” suffix is a plural form of a word. I am told that there are Old Testament passages that call G-d “Elohim”. Is this an indication that the Inspired authors were giving us a hint about the Trinity?
Also, a number of years ago I was told by a Messianic Jew that the word “echad,” translated as “one” in Mat 22: 36-37, (Deut 6: 4-5, etc.) is defined as a “composite unity.” Anyone know if that is accurate?
I have a coworker who is a member of a church called Iglesia ni Cristo, which denies that Jesus is G-d, thus denying the Trinity, and am trying to develop a biblical argument.
Thank you.
