Read this and tell me: what would God want Heinz to do? I understand the concept of moral relativism and how it is wrong, but is stealing looked at as always morally wrong? Is letting a human die a worse crime than stealing from an attempted con man?

I think God would help them get the drug by some other means(like people helping to pay for it). I mean at youth group we collected a couple hundred dollars in no time to buy poor families Christmas presents, imagine what even one parish could do.

All of these options leave Heinz alone and without help… that’s never the case

I don’t agree with that. There is not always an option of help from someone.

CCC 2408 The seventh commandment forbids theft, that is, usurping another’s property against the reasonable will of the owner. There is no theft if consent can be presumed or if refusal is contrary to reason and the universal destination of goods. This is the case in obvious and urgent necessity when the only way to provide for immediate, essential needs (food, shelter, clothing . . .) is to put at one’s disposal and use the property of others.
