It’s bad that here topics are closed two weeks after last answer, and yu can answer any more 😦
Most then feel discouraged, and rather adviced to better not take up the theme.
In the closed thred >Hell: a lie made up/stolen by the church< someone wrote just this.

But who so ever says so >Hell: a lie made up/stolen by the church< calls Jesus Christ a liar; not God in God, but a simple preacher. That’s of course same blaspemy, as claiming hell a lie.

Jesus Christ spoke about hell and warned of hell in very many verses of all four Gospels.
So, what is such discussion and anty-christian talk at?
It’s just good to blaspheme Jesus Christ - blaspheme God and support Satan, who of course does all to make hell an inexistent thing and fairy tale!

At the very least, hell exists because that’s where the devil and his minions are, whether or not there’s any human souls in Hell.

whether or not there’s any human souls in Hell
There are human souls in hell.

If hell is empty then universal salvation is true - and the Church condemned universal salvation as a heresy.

For example, I’ve voiced my opinion on here that I firmly believe Adolf Hitler is in hell - people always fight me on this and say “well we don’t know if he repented!” Yes, we do know he didn’t repent. I’ve studied him and the Third Reich in depth, and I can tell you right now - either Hitler is in hell, or everyone is saved no matter what so why even be Catholic?

If he had actually repented he wouldn’t have committed suicide, he would have surrendered to the Soviets in tears for his crimes and let them do whatever they felt was just. And he would have condemned his past actions.

But he did none of that. We know he remained obstinate up to the last millisecond and suicided. He boasts of his extermination of millions of people in his last will and testament mere hours before he committed the grave sin of suicide.

Anybody who doesn’t believe Hitler is in hell is either ignorant of the circumstances of his life and death, hopelessly naive, or believes in universal salvation.

It’s above anybody’s paygrade!

But all who fought Jesus Christ during their lifetime, sure can’t be expected in heaven.

Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Idi amin etc - they all fought Jesus Christ.

So do all atheists.

Don’t you benefit Hitler suffered from some sort of horrible mental illness? Or do you believe he was healthy?

Some say hell begins on earth and extends into eternity. Throughout history, the people of ancient faiths have clung with outrageous fervor to the centrality of humanity in all things, earthy and divine. Yet, in doing so, they have come to perceive falsely a vast chasm between themselves, one another and all creation. From the torrent of this skewed perspective has flowed the reddish works that form an ocean of violence, conquest and division. For these chosen ones, once set apart, feel they may do as they please. But their chosen state makes them an island upon this sea of their making. They find themselves adrift within history ever fearing that the enemy, an enemy too much like themselves, may suddenly appear on their horizon. In the end, this fear becomes the very vessel of their loneliness. The world for them is a frightful place which they must somehow subdue if they are ever to escape the alienation and isolation of their perceived extraordinary status. But, they cannot escape. For they have created for themselves, through their self-centeredness, a state of separation. Indeed, such separation is the very essence of hell.

No, because I’m not 100% certain that Judas didn’t repent before he killed himself.

He’s most likely in hell, but I’m not sure.

Hey friends - all these answers up to here, don’t answer if you firmly belief in hell as a please ruled by Satan and his legions.
Very personally so!

Why do we know that this is so?

As to hell, we do because Jesus Christ said so often enough.

As to the personified creatures in hell we know in both Covenants. The new one among others when Jesus asked them who obsessed the young man how many they are, and they answered Jesus WE ARE LEGION, and Jesus cast them into swines who then drowned.

As to the „change“ from Angels into devils, we know of Revelation several times, such in Rev 12,3 or 20,2 • 20,12 and more.

To Christians hence Hell is not just an idea or metaphor, but it’s as real as our life here on earth is; and just as real as heaven is.

He who doubts this, calls Jesus Christ a liar.

Satan doesn’t rule in hell - God rules in hell as everywhere else.

Satan and the demons are tormented in hell just like damned souls of humans.

And yes, the existence of hell and damnation is a dogma of the Catholic Christian Faith. You cannot be an orthodox Catholic and not believe in hell.

He was healthy as a horse mentally.

He knew full well what he was doing the whole time he was doing it.
But knowing and being healthy aren’t the same thing at all. I am not taking up for Hitler in any way shape or form. Just questioning how mental health factors into the Catholic teaching of damnation.

Maybe there was time to repent before the bullet went into his head? (I think he shot himself in the head but I am not exactly sure)

think he shot himself in the head but I am not exactly sure
He bit into a cyanide capsule and a few seconds later shot himself with a Walther PPK 7.65 in his right temple. Death was instant - no time to repent.

Hitler hated God and especially the Catholic Church - there is zero chance he repented.

Only two options exist:

Hitler is in hell

Or

Universal salvation is true

The ugliest joke of the year is: „GOD RULES IN HELL“

Don’t you realize, that if that were such nothing bad would come from hell?
Don’t you realize, that all evil in the world is from hell?
Don’t you realize, that if God would at all rule in hell - evil would come from God?
What a blasphemous idea that would be! Please revise this utterly wrong view.

God doesn’t rule in hell, but it’s up to God to send hell at Judgement Day into the farthest reaches of all being and possible influence. So far, that it even won’t come back to mind.
Hell and its inhabitants won’t even come back to mind - same as the old earth won’t after God has created a new heaven and a new earth in Isaiah 65,17 -
ever more so when we study Lk 17,26–30 and Revelation 14,14–21,1 Rev 19,11–21 alike. Hell then is very very far away from God then. Either way inaccessibly to all.

Today though, Satan is still Prince of the world and as such allowed „to shift each of us like wheat". Luke 22,31. PRINCE OF THE WORLD St. Paul named him „the God of this Age“ in 2Cor 4,4.
In John 12,31 and John 14,30 Satan is even by Jesus Christ named „the ruler of the world“. And in Luke 4,6 Satan admits, that all might on earth is given to him.

The whole thread here derailed into who went to hell and if or not he repented.

Please stay on the track which aims the reality of hell, in opposition to some who claim „hell is a lie“ - which of course is hell’s delight. Any enemy’s desire is not to be realized.

If God doesn’t rule in hell then he is not Sovereign.

If God is not Sovereign then he is not Omnipotent.

If God is not omnipotent he is an impotent god.

I neither recognize nor worship an impotent god.

Psalm 138:8

"If I ascend into heaven, thou art there: if I descend into hell, thou art present."

The idea that God is absent from hell and it is satans “domain” is errant. God rules in hell, as in everywhere else. Satan and his minions are tortured in hell, along with lost souls.

And to say God can’t rule in hell because evil exists there is an invalid argument - does God not rule on Earth in spite of clear and present evil?

I don’t know whether hitler is in hell. I think he probably is but I don’t think anyone can know except God and His Church.
Could hitler have had invincible insanity? Only God would know.
I could be wrong but I thought the Church teaches this somewhere (the idea that we cannot know with absolute certainty except saints or where the Church has taught this to us—I thought the church teaches that Judas is in hell)
Until the Church says Hitler is in hell, I refuse to state that I’m certain he is in hell. I will say he is probably in hell.

But I’m happy to believe otherwise if I’m mistaken about any facts about church teaching.

I can respect that.

I let my own biases show in the comment I made - I’m a huge WWII buff and have researched and studied Hitler and the NSDAP in extensive detail.

I had two Granpappies who fought in the Pacific, one in the Navy one in the Army.

Can anyone help us further in what the Church teaches about Judas in hell?

Another thing which I firmly believe is that Hitler was a precursor of the Anti-Christ, a type if you will.

Hitler was “anointed” as a “messiah” by Meister Eckhart early in his political career, and it’s common knowledge that Hitler held a sort of mystical power over the German people. When he died, thousands of Germans reported feeling like a “spell was broken.”
