the point is, you dont really need christians (or jews) to build a wonderful society. you dont even have to believe in god, like the buddhists.
You can’t know if morals exist without God because you can not ask that question in an environment where God is not present, nor does the person asking the question,* know *if God is present.

Buddhists and Atheists doesnt seem to care right now. I mean through Christian point of view- RIGHT NOW atheists are “locked in an irreversible rejection of a God whose presence they cannot escape”. But atheists dont mind. They are still having a grand time.
No they aren’t. Buddhists and atheists can still get into heaven even without converting, though it’s probably harder.
LOL! Its funny how christians are trying to change what the bible is saying. 😃 Its perfectly clear that in the bible, hell is all about the wrath of god. HATE. not love.
sigh

This is one of those things that’s so blatantly wrong I despair at having enough time to disprove it. In brief, then, no, that’s not what the bible says at all. It occasionally uses images of wrath, but they’re just that: images. The “wrath of God” in hell is merely the wrath of humanity curved back in on itself.

there is no way to know whether or not there is a god. even assuming that there is one, there is no way to know whether or not he is actively intervening in our lives.

all i know is that we have reason. and as long as we have reason, we have the power to make morals.

He could tell us, of course.

Meaningless morals with no sway whatsoever on anyone who doesn’t want them.

The Golden Rule is a moral that we learn instinctively from childhood. Is that meaningless? The bible itself adopted it.

If I don’t want to follow it, and there’s no reason for me to follow it other than wanting to follow it, then yes, it’s meaningless in the strictest sense of the word. It’s certainly meaningless to me, and without something larger to appeal to, that’s all that matters.

That’s because we have something call natural law written in our heats - because we were created by God. Some things are immoral and most of people just get that. The Bible didn’t adopt them, because Bible contains God’s message and all these come from God.
