May God protect, bless and guide you back to Him. I pray that he will heal your troubled soul and bring his loving light of hope, truth and faith into your heart and mind. May he give you the courage and strength to seek and obtain the help you so desperately need. May he comfort you with his peace and loving presence and renew you with faith.

You need to talk to someone; a priest, a friend, a psychologist, a suicide hotline (I used to work the suicide hotline at a hospital - even over the phone, you can receive a lot of empathy and good advice). Don’t just seek help on this forum - talk seriously to someone.

In any case, prayer will help too.

Lord, I come before You with a heavy heart for this hurting soul, who is struggling so much right now with the things happening in their life. I know You can be their greatest comfort. I know You can step in and make a difference. Give them the words and actions that will keep them from taking that ultimate step of suicide, Lord. Let them see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that suicide is not the route to take. Lord, let Your presence be felt in their life and let your comfort be what they need. If you feel you can’t wait to make an appointment with a psychologist/psychiatrist, you need to get to a** hospital**. A hospital is open 24/7 and can help you get past this crisis. They can give you medication that will help you through this.

If you can wait, then you would need to make an appointment with a psychologist, who would diagnose you. If you are suicidal, you obviously have depression, but sometimes, there are also other things…causing the depression. A professional needs to help with this.

Are you on any medications, drugs, including alcohol?

You are correct to put the title of this thread as hell if you commit suicide, since that would be a very real possibility. If your last action in this life were to break the 5th commandment, to kill, though yourself, you would have a mortal sin on your soul…in addition to any others you might already be carrying.

So, you may be thinking you could take your life, leave the troubles behind, go to heaven. What if it doesn’t work that way? What if you go to purgatory, or hell, because of your actions? You could be going “from the frying pan”, literally “to the fire”!

We are made in the image and likeness of God, and nobody is to take a life…be it in abortion, euthanasia, or suicide. Only God has that right.

Please promise us that until you will seek help that you won’t do anything rash, that you won’t take your life.

I’m reminded of the song, “American Pie” by McClean:

“I saw Satan laughing with delight the day the music died”.

You’re not the only one that’s wanted to kill yourself. Hoping you will ultimately make the right decision.

If it makes you feel better, we’re all a bunch of moral screw-ups who still need to perfect ourselves.
 
Loving Jesus, nothing is impossible with You. Please, with your healing touch, grant this person the necessary mental healing and fill this person’s hear with your peace, joy and mercy. Father, I beg that you may provide this person with the necessary help.

You kill yourself, and your misery will just be starting. Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. And in the morning, please seek help. God puts therapists on earth to help those who need it. Go.
 
I really, really, really hope you don’t. Why do I care. Because you are a child of God. I care for all his creatures. I’m praying that you change your mind. Don’t despair. Please, take the other suggestions. There are many good ones. Praying for you.
