See you in other threads…

Tim
Come, Holy Spirit, Creator come,
From They bright heavenly throne!
Come, take possession of Tim’s soul,
And make it all Thine own!

O guide Tim’s mind with Thy blest light,
With love his heart inflame,
And with they strength which ne’er decays
Confirm Tim’s moral flame.

Far from Tim drive our hellish foe,
True peace unto him bring,
And through all perils guide Tim safe
Beneath Thy sacred wing.

All glory to the Father be.
And to the risen Son;
The same to Thee, O Paraclete,
While endless ages run.

And they all said, “AMEN!”

Answer this: why do most of us go around behaving as if no one will go to hell…or at least not really caring.
I am not sure who “most of us” are but I am certainly not one of them. I would suggest that you hedge your bet and simply submit to the magisterial teaching of the Catholic Church. If not, well, good luck with that.

Boy there are some intelligent folks in this forum, the choices of words is staggering, how ironic that the more intelligent we are , the more we question God’s word. For one Satan wants us to think there is no hell, how convenient for him, and besides, how many times did our Lord Jesus make references to hell, and those demons he cast out, where do they abide, with their prince.

You know, it is hard to understand God, how can we, are we at His level, duh" think, and in response to punishment fitting the crime on the first post, think about our spiritual parents, Adam and Eve, all they did was eat an apple, and they were kicked out of paradise and well you all know the rest of the story. So how are we to understand the God of all creations, who knows our hearts, and every intention of ours. I say humble your hearts, and ask God for the knowledge that will lead us to heaven and not…
Well you know, where the worm never dies.

Blessed be the name of Jesus forever.

I reject the doctrine of hell for the following reasons:
  1. The punishment outweighs the crime.
**If there’s no hell, then Jesus wasted a lot of time dying a very ugly death for nothing!

If hell isn’t real, then His sacrifice on Calvary was unnecessary.

And if that’s true, then our believing in Him makes no sense.

His time on the cross bears witness, not only to the Grace of God, but also the reality of hell.

If the punishment seems to outweigh the crime it’s only because we - in this life - cannot appreciate the gravity of the crime.

And so we are called upon to trust, not only that Jesus suffering and death on the cross paid the price for our sins, but also that our sins do indeed merit the punishment of hell.

Praise God that He has dealt so gently with us, His forgiven sinful children,

DB

History repeats itself. This is just what happened in the Garden of Eden.
