Hello from Iraq

Hello all
I hope that every single one of you is doing well,

Well, I’ve been here going on 3 months now !
thank god , no close calls yet !
we found a rocket a few days ago, got rid of it !

I don’t know if you guys been following the news but another,Iraqi priest was killed today real sad.

Things have not been going well, thank god am out west !
where its quiet at least for now !

Again I would ask this

Pray for the troops
and pray for the innocent Iraqis

because this war is taking a toll on both sides , especially the Iraqi civilians , I have been talking to them , and each story i hear is more tragic and sad than the one i heard before !

Dear Joseph!

What a moving and inspiring message you send from what has to be a land full of misery and ugliness. Your compassion and love amaze me. If we have to have soldiers and if we must wage war, it is comforting to know that at least some of our soldiers do so with a reluctant and loving heart.

I understand our government’s policies have a created a mess in that country yet it is somehow reassuring that not all of our military are murdering and raping civilians, that there are those who care about suffering regardless which side is hurting. If only the media would let us and the rest of the world know.

Joseph you are a true child of God and represent the best this country has to offer. Be safe and know that you are loved and appreciated and have touched my heart deeply. May God hold you in his arms and bring you home soon. Amen. Thank you.

Let me begin by giving you a big fat THANK YOU for your service. You have no idea how much it means to so many people. For every loud mouth who speaks badly about our soldiers, there’s at LEAST 100 who have nothing but gratitude. Thank you so much. You guys (and gals) are my heros!

My prayers have already been going out for the troops because my husband is one of them. He’s been in Afghanistan for about 3 weeks now. I already miss him (as I’m sure your loved ones are missing you), but I am so proud of him…he requested this duty station just so he could get deployed.

I am proud of all our soldiers. You guys really are America’s (or whatever country you’re from) finest.
