HELP! Brave Man Lays His Life On The Line For His Faith &Love

Hello. I am shy but I wanted to share something that made me think about my faith and my love for God and my family. I was watching the Christian the Lion video with my mother a few weeks back and we saw this other video that people were talking about. We were curious of course so we watched the video and we kept wondering what this man was doing with all these bales of straw and tires and rocks. But then like Moses he climbed the moutain and oh my at the end he …I can’t give it away. You just have to see what he did. And what filled my heart with love and faith was seeing him up there with his arms out to God full of love and the pictures formed the shape of a cross around him! I’m in tears right now w right writing thiss…
I have been a sinner for a long time by not going to church and not geting involved in my community but this video has changed my life forever. Here it is:

Did this courageous man move you the way he moved me?

And I need help. I want to email this brave man some (name removed by moderator)irational Bible passages but the only one I can think of is Corinthians 13.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?

you’re shy, so your post was hard to write. but thanks for gutsing up and writing it. you wrote the video changed your life forever. if it helped you to repent of time spent away from loving God, then i can’t fault it there.

but there is only one thing that can change your life forever for good and that’s God’s grace. even that will only change your life forever one day at a time, “give us this day our daily bread…”, “pray for us now and at the hour of our death…”

in all, i think i might have liked this video better if i didn’t strongly suspect the fellow was intentionally showing off his physique throughout the whole thing. his lack of modesty detracted from his message.

i hope you keep reading scripture. i hope you will come back to CAF and share some other verses you found that inspire you.

here’s one that’s tremendously consoling to me:

The guy certainly has a lot of passion. I’m concerned that he might be on the obsessed side of things.

I’d suggest that he reads the classic, “Love and Responsibility” by Karol Wojtyla (who became Pope John Paul 2). It’s all about what love really is, it discusses the romantic feelings you get, the passion that the guy has for her, as well as unrequited love. All from a Catholic, and God-centered world view.

It’s a great conversation piece, your video. Thanks for sharing it. I think it could be shared at a TOB for Teens study.

Yes, women are so pure and unaffected by such things! The fact that George Clooney and Brad Pitt are even now begging for nickels outside Walmart proves that!

I found the video narcisistic and silly-- in no way does he ‘lay his life on the line’ for anything [accept he climbs without proper protection].

But this sort of ‘most men like their bodies, and we are too good to care’ comment isn’t helpful, or justified.

Remember ladies: your sons are 4 times more likely to take thier own lives than your daughters are.

Four times.

Don’t be part of the problem.
 
It was his heart he showed!

I think he showed his effort and heart. Yeah he is hot but he is such a sweetheart.

You don’t see that/?:confused:
