Since we already have the male version, assisting the ladies. Perhaps some of the ladies could give gift ideas as well for us uncreative men.

In my particular case, I have a gf whom I have a present for but need that romantic edge to add to it.

My ideas so far:

poem
song
new photo for the dresser or purse(I have done this in the past)

Any others, ladies?

I am so un-romantic is isn’t funny! At the girlfriend stage, I don’t want a poem or anything like that…made me want to run for the hills even with a guy a dated for several years.

The most romantic I would want would be like bath salts with a candle set or something along those lines.

Anything that helps me relax. Best of luck. I’m sure whatever you come up with, she will treasure.

**Well, even when i was just the girlfriend I would have loved a poem or other personal romantic gesture:shrug:… so you know your honey best. Try to think of something that would have meaning to her as well. Maybe something to remind her of your first date?

If you know her favorites in anything (from chocolate to bath products) that is always a big hit…shows you’ve been paying attention.

Basically the perfect romantic aspect is when it spells out “I know you”. What may be romantic to one woman would be tacky to another, or even offensive. We are complicated creatures:D**

Take her out to dinner and let her talk … and actually listen to her.

“A kiss on the lips may be quite continental, but diamonds are a girl’s best friend…” :curtsey:

Only kidding! Anything from your heart she will love I’m sure.

Those are nice. I think I’d prefer a book from a boyfriend, though, one he had to pick out specially and maybe skim to see if I’d like it. Or a coffee mug with a cute saying on it.

I already have the gift she needs, which is a Nebraska Cornhusker t-shirt. We have been dating for a few years and in process, my fanship rubbed off on her (we both live and go to a college in Kansas). Also, in these few years, my ideas are running out.

I am trying to find that romantic compliment to the gift, which is tough to do for a football shirt. The poems/songs I am thinking of are not coming out that great(of course, my brain is fried from final)s and we did not go to a Husker game this year unfortunately, so no cute photo together at the game.

Do women in a relationship find corny gifts funny or attractive/romantic?

I could never have said it better-excellent advice

btw if you can’t figure this out from the above, guys think about what her interests are-look at her bookshelf or her internet favorites list and go from there

🙂

Is she Catholic? If so, go to a Catholic gift shop.

There are so many gifts in a wide-range of prices, I’m sure you will find just the right present.

A poem would be nice too.
