Hi,
I have recently come to realize that I have a real hard time with procrastinating, especially when it comes to school projects or applying for certain things. I get so much anxiety about doing something right, that I put it off, feeling I am going to do poor work. But I really need to ask for help with habits of procrastination and putting things off. I also have a hard time prioritizing, and deciding what I should work on, how I should do the work, and how much time I should allocate to each task or portion of a project. But please pray for me to use my time wisely, and not to procrastinate. Please ask God to give me the confidence that I can do the work I need to do, and not get into the thought patterns of wanting my work to be perfect or flawless, which are usually what makes me put off doing something I should do now. Ask God to help me know how to do good enough, and not avoid starting or continuing a project when I feel like I am not doing a good job. Thank you for any and all prayers for this intention. May God bless you all. Amen.

Hi invisiblewitnes,

Prayers said for your intentions.

May God bless you during this stressful time for you.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen. :signofcross:

Hail Mary full of Grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death
Amen. :signofcross:

I can really relate to what you wrote. I will pray for you! May He fill you with peace.

Praying that the Lord may grant you all necessary graces. Also praying for you to be able to overcome procrastination.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer for Procrastination

I ask that you give me a greater appreciation of the preciousness of time. I thank you that you are the Lord of order, of creation and of history. You have created seasons, months and days, sleep and wake, life and growth. I am grateful that even though you live outside of time in eternity, you understand how I feel because your son Jesus had to make decisions and take action about what things he should make a priority. Help me to define my priorities and then follow the example of how Jesus got up early before sunrise and went off to lonely places to pray because it was on his priority list and he knew if he put it off till later, it wouldn’t get done.

I pray that you will guide me. Please help me set good time priorities and stick with them. Give me self discipline. Empower me to ask others for help when I don’t know how to get started or how to finish up. Give me confidence in my ability to do big tasks. Help me to overcome the temptation to do other things that I’d rather be doing that are less important. I know that you want me to live a healthy, productive life. Help me learn how to break this habit. Empower me in my weakness. Bring me back when I stray. Focus me. Organize me. Remind me. Energize me. Amen.

***Hail Mary,

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
