Help! Embarrassing question (LADIES ONLY)

I’m wondering if any of you ladies have ever had this problem.

So whenever I see a woman dressed provocatively, or an impure image of a woman, I’ll notice her “assets” and start feeling aroused. Usually when a woman is wearing a low cut top that bares her cleavage - it’s like my attention is drawn to that area. I’m not bisexual or homosexual. I’m always attracted to guys, but this has really been bothering me and freaking me out I start freaking out thinking, “What if I’m becoming bisexual?” But I KNOW I don’t want to be with a woman.

I will say that I have a masturbation habit, so could this have something to do with it?

If you “KNOW” you don’t want to be with a woman, then I don’t think you should worry about becoming bisexual.

I wouldn’t even worry too much about becoming bisexual (if it’s even possible to become bisexual as an adult), because you’ll still be attracted to men, and will still be able to have fulfilling relationships with men.

eh your fine. thats what girls put that kinda stuff out there for, attention. its like, if you were to watch a porn or something…i’m sure you’d never be in one, wouldnt want your husband watching one, dont agree with them- but if by chance you were flipping thru the channels and caught a glimpse of one by accident, you might briefly be aroused…its…sexuality and what it does. even better- its temptation.

just shake your head and work the impure thoughts out of your mind and keep on your way. give it a second thought and your liable to confuse yourself…

If it makes you feel any better it happens to me all the time- and I’m totally straight. And even if you dont get turned on somehow, its soooOOO natural to check other girls out. I always look at other women…how theyre dressed…how their ‘assets’ are stacked up against eachothers LOL…no use in lying we women compete

Oh no nothing like that, studies show that people are attracted to things that seem to be round. We then process it in our minds as to cuteness, or attraction, or ooh something shiny. I think it called the roundess theory or something, want to test it, go to a nursery and look at a C-Section baby or a natural birth baby. Yes they are both cute, but the really round one seem healthier and more cute then the others. But our minds can look past that since we posess a high intelect, but our nature is still true. They think its a form of survival instinct and relates to healthyness in a mate.

I had all sorts of impure thoughts and my priest told me they are like bees, we should’t be preoccupied with them, it can lead to worrying, anxiety and felling of guilt…it is not from God…if you can go to confession more often and talk about it, that will help you, and don’t let yourself be caught in meditating and overanalyzing on what is going on inside you emotionally…hope this will help…I’ll pray for you

Noticing the “assets” are doing nothing but giving your mind a “sex cue”. From that point, hormones and brain chemicals that provoke a sexual response (arousal) start to take over. This stuff is very common in younger people who are totally straight.

Relax, your preference for men indicates that it’s not likely that you are becoming bi-sexual or homosexual. The masturbation habit can cause these chemicals and hormones to be activated more easily but this is not necessarily the entire cause. All men and women have certain levels of both (testosterone & estrogen) sex hormones, Some women may have higher levels of the male hormone testosterone than others. Some men might have higher levels of the female hormone estrogen. It’s all kind of complicated.

The best thing to do is let it go and do your best to aviod things that provoke these responses. Don’t expect prefection… Work on making progress in your journey to a more pure life!

it’s actually normal for girls to be attracted to other girls this way, not that it’s a good or acceptable thing, but it’s not unusual at all, and it does not mean you are bisexual at all.
it’s nothing to freak out over, you just need to fight this like you would fight any temptation, and to really overcome this and your other problem you mentioned, you need to pray every day, make use of the sacraments(especially confession) and practice mortification for self control of the mind and body.

in my own experience, overcoming any sin is much easier when you learn to detest and hate them,
in which case, to hate them you must learn why they are so terrible and how God sees these sins and how He sees us when we commit them,
so i’d recommend reading from the writings of the saints, who loved chastity and purity, and hated sins of the flesh with great passion, and often took extreme mortification and penances to preserve their chastity,

I can’t comment too much on being aroused by anything like breasts as I tend to not have any kind of obvious sexual drive. When I see breasts the first thing I think of is “they’re fake” or “that one is lop sided” or “I bet she’s had a reconstruction” or “wow, that shirt is a bit revealing, put it a way lady”.

Its like backsides, why are people attracted to something that poop comes out of?

Anyway, from what I"ve been told by people who have this sort of issue, pray the rosary when you feel tempted. Our Lady is ever virgin and ever pure. She’ll help you out!
