Help finding authentic Catholic school

Hi folks
I’m looking for my dream school.
A school where the majority of the teachers are nuns and brothers. Where the kids have mass every day. A school that is part of a large church that also has a convent nearby. Where the Catholic teachings are real and true.
Does anything like this exist anymore?

I have a daughter going into the 4th grade. She is currently enrolled in a private reformed Anglican school. She has expressed interest for several years now in going into religious life and feels she has been called.
I’d like for her to have a broader Catholic experience and be exposed to more people in that life. We live in central Virginia and attend a small rural church. We are willing to move.
What kind of schools do you all have in your areas? Anything like what I’m looking for? Have any advice for me?

God bless you for wanting to find an authentic Catholkc school for your daughter. I am wishing the same for my son. However, in my immediate area, they really do not exist. I was saddened to see how, despite the teachers’ and pastors best efforts, the children were poorly behaved and not respectful to their teachers, classmates nor during Mass. Sadly, I had to remove my son because of bullying issues and the lack of consequences when the children misbehaved (even in times not involving my son).

Sadly, I feel most Catholic schools are struggling to stay afloat and are afraid that if they anger the parents of the students, the school will close. We have had many school consolidations. There are no religious teachers in any of the schools in my area.

What I have found is that those most devout choose to homeschool. Two of my most devout friends both homeschool. They have the freedom to attend daily Mass because they can set their own schedule.

I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers as she decerns her vocation.

We have the same problem here with the Catholic schools. One won’t even put the word “Catholic” in their name as they want to attract other religions. They don’t even have mass anymore.
I guess I’m stuck in the way-back machine longing for the type of school I went to where the girls could spend a day in the convent to see what it was like, the discipline was serious, and we respected our school, our teachers and each other.
My desire is to raise her wrapped in the arms of the Catholic Church. I feel sorry that my only option is to homeschool.
Hopefully someone else will chime in and tell me that the Catholic community of my dreams exists somewhere…
 
We are praying for the same thing, my friend. I feel exactly the same way. I think it’s the reason I was so saddened at my son’s Catholic school experience. I will continue to keep your intentions in my heart and my daily prayers.

I suspect that if such a school existed, it would most likely be a boarding school. There is a high school seminary in my city that meets most of those qualifications, but it’s for boys only and is a boarding school.
 
At. Mary’s sounds wonderful…but where do you go after 8th grade?
Isn’t it unfortunate that this is such a difficult task…
 
I live in Pennsylvania and many of the Catholic schools in my area are solid faith-wise. My husband grew up attending a few and they weren’t so much then, but there have been a lot of improvements over the last generation, especially at the high school level (mostly diocesan schools here).

It’s a wonderful school. There are no religious teaching classes, but they do have daily Mass.

Have you looked at The Seton School in Virginia? I don’t know a whole lot about it but it is associated with Seton homeschool. It is popular among families looking for a solid and faithful homeschool program.

Same goes for my area. There is an ever increasing large Catholic homeschooling community whose students have access to daily Mass, religious at retreats, etc.
