Help Finding Bible

Don’t know if this is in the right section … so here goes:

I love the style and dignity of the NAB Bible in Psalms and in the New Testament. In Torah, however, sometimes it can seem a little out-dated, and I haven’t read much of the Prophets in it. HOWEVER, I found a really great, compact, nicely covered NAB Bible, complete with a dogmatic constitution of Divine Revelation, several great devotional prayers in the front, and the lectionary, etc. I love it for a lot of these reasons, but as I am mainly reading in the Old Testament, I sort of feel like maybe this isn’t the best choice.

I love the New Jerusalem Bible through-and-through, but it’s a BIG honkin’ thing, and it’s just not practical to carry around too much (especially to school or on trips). I would adore it if I found one with the versatility of this new NAB, and with all the ‘special features’, as well, but thus far I haven’t seen any such thing.

Right now I’m having a dilemma on whether or not to use the NAB just because it’s handier and I do like a lot of it, or the NJB because it’s a better translation IMO–or whether there’s a possibility of getting one in a decent size … 🤷

Can anyone help me with this?
 
Have you looked at the Ignatius RSV:CE Second Edition?

It might be worth a look. I have the leather version and it’s very nice…not too big.

How about the Douey-Rheims Bible with the Haydock Commentary.
