Our final moving days are approaching. We have 25 boxes of old Russian language (some Ukrainian) periodicals, and books still in our building. Some staff at the local ROCOR cathedral were very interested but they haven’t managed to get over to look at them during Great Lent. Some folks from another ROCOR parish and the priest at an OCA have happily taken some.
We will need to put whatever is left in the recycle soon.
If you know anyone in the San Francisco area who might be interested in some pre-Soviet and Soviet era materials, Catholic, and Moscow Patriarchate, Paris, etc. have them contact me or call the parish. 415-752-2052 We would love to have these go to someone who would want them but our efforts to make that happen are not proving very successful.
(Stanford University and the Patriarchal Church in SF did go through our library years ago and took the most valuable, to them, things at that time. These periodicals etc were stashed in a closet and I don’t think anyone had looked at them for decades before we unearthed them about 6 weeks ago.)
