Help Finding Saint

Hi!

I’m looking for a patron saint for asthma, or a list of those saints stricken with it.

I’ve already searched myself on numerous sites. Links, therefore, aren’t appreciated very much.

If anyone could help me with this, I’d be grateful.

(My friend has bad asthma, which I just discovered, and thought this would be something to look in to.)

Evidently, Bernadette Soubirous, the saint of Lourdes,
endured respiratory illness. She was born in 1844,
long before effective medication was available for
pulmonary conditions.

And Christ Himself would have suffered respiratory distress,
as a result of crucifixion. At least that is my understanding.

Thank God for the medications that are now available
to treat many medical conditions, often bringing a measure
of relief. Sometimes I pray for the medical researchers
who’s work creates these medications.
