Hi everyone!

I apologize if this is on the wrong area of the forum. It has to do with Natural Family Planning and/or the Pro Life movement, so I figured it was appropriate to place this topic in this section. I’m hoping maybe someone on here might know what I’m talking about, or has listened to Catholic radio recently and knows what I am referring to. Or I should say, what my mother was referring to.

A couple days ago, my mom was telling me she was listening to a Catholic radio program (she can’t remember which one), and she heard something about how the Vatican was currently looking for lay people to promote Natural Family Planning (or maybe it was Pro Life stuff, or a combination of both) in Rome. She said it sounded like they were looking to specifically employ lay people. This was an actual job, not just a volunteer thing.

She seemed really really interested in looking into this further, but she was on her way to work and she couldn’t remember the website or organization that they provided on air. As I said, she couldn’t remember what radio program she had heard it on specifically. I’ve looked at the websites of quite a few different Catholic radio shows trying to find a link, but I’ve come up empty handed. I’ve also typed in many different things on Google trying to get some sort of lead on it, but absolutely nothing has appeared that is even remotely close to it.

So I am wondering if anybody on here knows what I’m talking about, or specifically heard it advertised on the radio recently. She said she heard it within the last week or so. If anyone has any information or can provide a link, it would be GREATLY appreciated. My mother seemed extremely interested, and the idea of working for the Church makes her so happy, I would love to see her pursue this.

Many thanks in advance!!! 😃

Natural Family Planning

Well, 2 different Churches that I attend have local programs on this exact topic (AND, one has at least 2 paid employees).
So, Mom can just contact her local Church (or, her Diocese).

Because, if there are going to be Paid Positions in the NFP area (because Pope Francis wants some created), they would HAVE TO BE run through (and with the guidance of) each individual Diocese.

That is, unless your Mom can speak Italian, and thinks that these jobs are only in Rome.

The other option is quite simple.
Your Mom listened to Catholic Radio.
There is one local radio station that is a Catholic station (or, maybe 2, in a metropolitan area).
Just contact your local Catholic Radio station and ask them.
You can bet, that if someone on their station announced this, that people have already called there several times, looking for information.

As far as this being Paid Positions for Pro-life activities, I STRONGLY doubt it.
Pope Francis has spent a lot of time telling Catholics NOT to obsess so much about anti-Abortion activities.
