I am just coming up to our 30 year mark with our marriage, and have to agree with many of the posters here.

It seems like she is more attracted to you spirtiually and how you treat her, but it’s not reciprocated. Making comments about your SOs appearance is unacceptable, unless you have food left on the side of your mouth at supper or something…

I will take a bold step here, and make the statement that you will KNOW when you are supposed to marry someone, and it has to be mutual, that is both parties should feel the same way.

I knew that feeling within days of meeting my future (current and only) wife, and that everything had to change to support our being together. (At the time we lived 6,000 miles apart).

So while not trying to be an analyst here on a single post, at the minimum a “time out” seems in order to see if God has plans for you both to be in a marriage convenant.

My 2cs … hope this helps…

After thinking about it, I realized that what made me sad is that during marriage, life can come at you hard and fast. A couple really needs to be committed to the “in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer” part!

An unexpected pregnancy, car accident, or loss of a job can rip away many of someone’s attractive attributes. The only thing that might remain is your attraction to that person’s heart and soul, so that should be the main thing on the list.

Praying for us all,

That is a wise and concise way to put what marriage is about. I will put that in my “quotes to ponder” file.

God bless and Happy Good Friday and Easter.
