I can get to the mass by car but coming back I can’t . What does one do?

If you can’t go, you can’t go.

If you don’t have transportation or are dependent upon others, then you do the best you can and if you cannot go, then you cannot go.

I mean I can go to the Church, but then I would have to walk home

Joe, people are going to offer helpful suggestions such as calling neighbors for a ride, taking public transportation, calling a cab, etc.

That’s all they are— suggestions. You know your situation.

If you can’t go, you can’t go. There is no obligation when you are in a situation where you are unable to attend mass.

You tend to be scrupulous, so be at peace. You haven’t done anything wrong.

How far do you live from the church?
Could you ask anyone at church for a ride home?

How far is the walk? If you’re healthy and it’s a nice day, might be good exercise and a chance to enjoy God’s other Cathedral, his creation???
If your health is impaired, if you can’t go, you can’t go.

Joe— stop.

I understood what you meant.

If walking home isn’t a reasonable thing, then you are able to attend.

The walk is 37 minutes
Not too long. It’s up to you. If the weather is bad where you live, you can’t go. The Lord understands. Say hi to Him from your home, He’ll appreciate it.

That would be a nice walk if the weather is nice. It sounds like you have walked before if you know it takes 37 minutes.

Joe, stop obsessing, although I know you’re just responding to the “helpful” ones. 1ke answered correctly. One does the best one can. God knows and understands. There is nothing we can do to help you. In fact, since you tend to be scrupulous, this forum is the worst thing for a young person like yourself who is trying hard to be faithful.
Many blessings to you during the Triduum and Easter.

God bless you Joe, like 1ke said you: didn’t do anything wrong .God understands.🦋🦋

Joe, you’re a minor. It is better that you work with your family rather than doing something that would potentially drive them away.

Please keep in mind that we are NOT permitted to give advice to minors that go against their parent’s wishes. While you often operate in the grey area, “my parents don’t care” etc. There have been several times when they said no and you didn’t let us know that until a few dozen posts into the thread.

I’m sorry to hear that a family matter came up…but again keep in mind that you owe your parents obeidence first.
