Hi guys,
I don’t post here often but I am hoping I can get some help. About 20 odd years ago I read a book. I dont remember much but here is what I can tell you;
A young boy is taken in by a family. Later they find out he is royalty or family of royalty (something like that). When he leaves the family tells him they will pray the rosary for him daily. He goes to his new life and ends up in some kind of danger. Along the way he ends up back at the home of his foster family (i think several years later) and they are praying the rosary for him when he gets there.

I know this is not much information but I am hoping with this large group you guys can help me. I remember really enjoying this book and want my children to be able to read it!

Thank you!

The book you’re looking for is “Outlaws of Ravenhurst,” by Sister M. Imelda Wallace. 🙂

Thanks guys! I just ordered it from amazon, along with the Father Brown Reader. I love finding books like this!! 👍

You are absolutely right! Thank you. I am excited to order this book for my kids. They all are very excited as well!

Glad I could help. 🙂 I enjoyed it very much as a kid, and have already acquired a copy for DD–age 19 months. 😛

If they enjoy that, might I also suggest Louis de Wohl’s books? Historical fiction about the saints, but pretty far onto the “historical” end of the spectrum. If they’re ready for “Outlaws,” they’re ready for de Wohl.
