I’m guessing you’d have to put some kind of foamy product in your damp hair before you dry it to scrunch - then you just grab handfuls of hair and scrunch it in an upward motion.

However, I have incredibly straight, flat hair, and scrunching doesn’t work for me b/c I lack major body period. But that’s just my Asian hair - and yours looks thicker, so it might work.

I’d suggest, for body, to use a round brush and blow dry up at the scalp to get it fluffier - someone else can probably tell you what product would help best. I’m definitely not an expert in this area :).

At the risk of sounding kinda dumb, how do you scrunch your hair? What products should I use? My hair is dead-straight normally - it only looks wavy when it’s trying to be messy.

This is how I looked last summer, by the way. I can’t have my hair that colour now, but I wish I could. I always look better in the summer. I’m not a winter girl.
A little moose would work. I think SunSilk has a wave foam now. Runt hat through your hair and then bunch your hair up in your palm as you are blow drying. You can also get the same effect by wrapping small sections of damp and producted hair around your finger and then blow drying.
Herbal Essence site has some good ideas.
