I’ll be getting confirmed on 3/31, and need some help picking a Saint.

My first name is John, but I’ve always gone by Jordan which is one of my 2 middle names.

So, seeing as I’ve already got 4 names, I’d like to find a Saint John that works.

Leaning towards Saint John of Damascus, any other suggestions I should look at?

I currently work in my family’s business, we own a dealership for semi-trailers (new and used, parts, service, rentals, etc.) and basically when my dad retires I’ll take the wheel. So that would be my career.

We also own a finance company where we give commercial loans for buying equipment.

Maybe you could find a saint that has written something. That way you can see a bit of the saints personality through their writing and they become a bit more relatable as you see their way thinking. Then they become more personable instead of just a distant figure.

St John Chrysostom
St John the Baptist
St John the Apostle

Would be popular ones I’d think

Henry the VIII is actually supposedly an ancestor of mine… that might be awkward lol

I don’t think St. John Fisher would bear a grudge. If anything he may take an interest in the return of his descendents to the true Church!

I’m actually not of Polish heritage, just have always been fascinated by their history. I will look into both of them as I’ve never heard of them before.

Oh I’m sure he wouldn’t. He’s definitely on the list of considerations.

Duh

I’ve never heard him referred to as John Paul the Great so that through me off lol

Since you are apparently a fan of Sobieski, who vanquished the Turks at Vienna, why not St. James Matamoros, who fought the same enemy on a different battlefield?

Blessed Jerzy Popuklesko.

Polish priest, fiercely against the Communists, was assassinated by the Polish Communist secret police for being a dissident.
