I have these three books on my shelf, which should I read for Lent? I have not read any of them yet.

I have not read any of them either, but I think lent is a time to focus on Jesus. Just my opinion of course.

The only one I’ve read is “Jesus of Nazareth” by BXVI. I just finished it a week ago and I think it is a very good book. In partictular the chapter on the Gospel of John and the one on the Lord’s Prayer:thumbsup: .

God Bless

You should probably look for something spiritual for Lent so the documents of Vatican II are out. They are more for study and understanding, not meditation. Jesus of Nazareth would be my choice…but I read it already.

Of the three choices, I would pick Jesus of Nazareth.

For me, I plan to put all of my other books away for Lent and read only my Bible, because I don’t read the Sacred Scriptures enough.

Blessings,
Mrs. Mac

I don’t have any of those books. What I do have is the 7 volume set of books titled IN CONVERSATION WITH GOD, by Francis Fernandez. One of the volumes is for Lent only. An excellent set of daily meditations, in my opinion.👍

Rise, Let us Be on Our Way is very short. You could easily read the first two.
