I felt the same way - throughout the entire three years I was in R.C.I.A. Yes, three years. But I learned more in those three years about patience, love for the anticipated Eucharist, a total love of the Mass, the history of the Church, the Doctrines and Dogmas of The Church, the Saints of The Church and myself than I ever would have had I not spent those three years in R.C.I.A.I LONG to take Communion and watching others take it, oh boy, tears almost come to my eyes. :crying:
Being received into The Church and participating in The Body and Blood of Christ is not the end of the line. Effort must be made to grow and learn and love. It is a never ending earthly journey that does not end with 1st Eucharist.
