The Bible Shaw God is a spirit, so that pretty much sums up why Christians should interpret Anthropomorphic passages as metaphorical
Like Him there is naught; He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing.
  • Surah 42:11
Is He who creates as he who does not create? Will you not remember?
  • Surah 16:17
Asharis were Philosophical and based their theology upon Greek Philosophy and were declared as heretics from the 12th century and onwards
The Asharis were actually quite hostile to Greek philosophy, in fact the majority of Ashari scholars considered dialectical theology to be only a necessary evil, when the situation calls for it. And dialectical theologians, such as Imam Ghazali, wrote polemics against philosophers, such as Alfarabius, Avicenna, etc.

What a blatant distortion of the truth right there. The Asharis gradually became orthodoxy and mainstrean Islam due to the Seljuq vizier Nizam al Mulk (d. 11th century). Of course the Asharis were intermittently condemned by the Hanbalis as heretics since the 10th century. But after Nizam al Mulk, the majority of Sunni rulers were Asharis (such as the Ayyubid Dynasty founded by Salah ad Din), whereas other rulers were Maturidis (such as the Ottomans). By the 13th century, it was the Asharis who were condemning Hanbalis such as Ibn Taymiyyah, because Ashari scholars were the majority.
Salafism follows the Quran, Sunnah, and Hadith
Yes, post a Salafi website on why Salafism is orthodoxy and everything else is heterodoxy; there is definitely no bias there (I’ve seen thay before BTW). This topic is way out of your depth, my friend. Please do some thorough research rather than stick to your premeditated conclusions backed by quick google searches.

You obviously wouldn’t appreciate if I were to assert that the metaphorical interpretations of Christians and Jews are all ultimately derived from Philo of Alexandria, who actually did borrow from Greek philosophy. I wonder where you were when I made this thread:
