HELP! My 21 daughter wants an abortion

My daughter just told me that she is pregnant and has already decided she is going to have an abortion. She is afraid I will reject her and I don’t know what to say.

Please pray for her, for the baby, adn for me to find the words God wants me to use and PLEASE post if you have any advice or suggestions or ideas.

Get her to a Catholic pregnancy center…make sure she can see an ultrasound of the life inside her. Stop her at all costs.

Please let her know that you love her very much, and that you would completely support her if she chose to give this baby up for adoption. Adoption is a miracle, a dream, a treasure for couples who can’t have children…your daughter’s problem could become someone else’s dream come true. Let her know her family will support her through her pregnancy, and that you don’t expect her to be a mother if she is not ready…that the child can be given to a woman who is praying for this miracle.

I pray for you, and ask Mother Mary to intercede on your behalf.

Tell her you love her, but to please not kill the life inside her.

There is documented evidence that abortion often results in psychological damage to the mother, if not immediately, then later.
Your daughter surely knows you will support her in any way you can, as has already been said there are families breaking their hearts for a baby.

I join in prayer that you precious daughter will change her mind and will allow the baby within her to have the life that God wishes.
 
I chose to have my baby almost exactly 30 years ago and have never regretted it. I know I could not say the same thing if I had had the abortion many recommended to me. Would she be willing to look into the documented harm abortion does to women; both long and short term? I hope she will take a long breath, talk to people who can really help her, and know the inner peace of doing the right thing.

I have told her that I love her no matter what, but that she can’t un-ring the bell. It’s not like you are sitting around trying to decide if you want to have one, the baby is here.

We just left the Life Center for counseling and an ultrasound is scheduled for next week. She agreed to go when I told her that I do not want her at planned parenthood in the hands of physicians assistants who preform medical procedures instead of a medical doctor. Girls become sterile and some die from their ‘treatment’. I need to know that she’s safe and well-cared for. I’ve prayed at clinics and knew that, through her choices she may end up there one day, I hoped that this day would never come. I feel so ill-equipped.

I’m so afraid for her and for this baby. I’m also afraid that if I’m too loving and supportive, she’ll somehow think I’m endorsing her decision. I’m not. I already feel as though I am mourning a child that will never be born and want to save a child when it seems that there is no hope. I am trying everything that I can, but I can’t force her to have this child.

I am trying to focus on Truth and Love. We just need prayers, please pray for God to guide my words. I am really all she has, aside from her ‘friends’ who have spent a month telling her to get an abortion. Her best friend is even offering to pay half.

Thank you for your compassion, advice and mostly for your prayers. We need that more than anything.

Maggie, I am so sorry to hear about your poor grandchild. He or she remains in my prayers. 😦
 
I will keep you, your daughter, and your precious grandchild in my prayers. I hope that when she sees that precious child on the ultrasound her heart is opened to the life and love God has given her. She is so blessed to have that child growing inside of her.

please guide Maggie to know what to do or say to her daughter to influence the survival of her grandchild.Lord please open her daughters heart and mind to You that she will reconsider her fears and dread of having a pregnancy and realise the wondrous gift of having her baby.Lord send Your Holy Spirit upon her that her heart will be softened.Guide her mother to lead by her example of love and prayer.Lord we place this situation in YOur hands and ask You would guide Maggie and her daughter to Your will.Lord in YOur mercy hear our prayers Amen
