Help My Dog Ate Something He Shouldn't

Hi everyone,

I think my senior dog ate his own sock, which also has a plastic/silicon grip on the bottom.

My dog is around 12 years old and I would hate for him to have to require surgery, especially at his old age.

I love my dog so much, I consider him my brother.

Although I am not 100% certain he ate his sock, I do have a strong belief he did since I can’t find it anywhere.

I would hate for my dog to go out like this.

I would like to ask for prayers for hopefully that he didn’t eat the sock and that it turns up somewhere. If he did eat the sock, I pray that it somehow passes itself smoothly right through his system and expelled through his poop.

Watch him carefully, if he shows no interest in food, or starts throwing up, he may be blocked. The vet can do an x-ray & see where it is (or isn’t, hopefully!).

We had an old pug who ate the stuffing from a toy & had to have emergency surgery. :rolleyes:

In any event, praying he’s okay!! 🙂
 
St Francis, help this poor pooch.
(Our irish setters each did this…they pooped them out).
 
Pray3x, please get your dog to the vet asap. One xray can determine if there is an issue.
If there is an obstruction, waiting to see if you notice can cause harm to your dog.
Please-get him to the vet.
 
My sister-in-law has a dog who constantly eats socks and other things that he shouldn’t. The Vet showed her how to make the dog vomit, but I would call the vet’s to have them do this.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Pray3x’s dog. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Pray3x’s dog’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
