God bless all.

I go to therapy two of my main therapist are in protestant or non denominational church.
One is really Baptist we were talking about my friend who passed away she used to see her to. Now my friend was young.
It was her first time going to a Catholic church.
I asked her what it was like

She seemed not to like it I asked her what they did because I know the kneeling and standing ECT.

But the reason im bringing this out it’s hard for me to express my feelings. At Religious I don’t wanna offend any of them.

Then she talks to me how she is not suffering anymore. And is in heaven. She asked do you bleieve she is in heaven I had froze and for some reason said yes and then may of said she may of died in a state of grace.

I didn’t wanna be rude I could feel almost this negative energy as if I was talking to my parents to this.

I knew the truth I don’t know where she is even though she could be in heaven but the best thing to do is pray and wait. Sometimes there will be reported miracles I have seen some small things happen when I asked my friend to pray for me but I would keep that to the priest. Even if she is not canonized within the churxh and is in haehaven she is still a saint. But I think many could use her prayers

Im thinking there doing all this in memory of her but is she getting the prayers she was a Catholic I do hope she is ateast in lpuratory or heaven I pray for her all that I can And m always seeing she is getting masses offered for her by the local church so that’s good.

So how can I expain to my therapists about purgatory and these kind of things

Purgatory - Just use the concept of a party. - If a King or President held a party, the quests would be expected to dress for the occasion. Likewise, with heaven, those who are going to be there are going to be in a fitting state for the place - hence the necessity for the purification, so that those who come in proximity to the greatness of God are made ready for his presence.

I don’t think I would be using my time in therapy to talk about my therapists religious beliefs.

I think you should just have faith in God’s infinite mercy. Many people understand what the concept of purgatory is, they just don’t believe it. And that is fine. When they say things like she’s in a better place after someone dies it is a way for them to comfort themselves and try to comfort those around them. You are correct in saying nobody really knows. Continue to pray for your friend and know that she is in God’s hands. Have peace.
