Hi everyone,
This is a bit long winded, but I’m terrible at being concise
I’m a convert to Catholicism and have been Catholic now for going on four years. I’ve always attended NO masses because that’s all that has been available to me and all that was taught in RCIA. I’ve been wanting to attend a Latin Mass for some time now and have been reading up on them and watching Youtube videos. Until now, the closest Latin Mass has been three hours away, but I’ve just gotten a new job that is moving me to a town with a Catholic Church that offers the Latin Mass every weekend in addition to NO masses. I’ve emailed and called to find out more details but so far have not heard back from them. (I’m not upset, I think it’s because the priests there are super busy and they have a VERY small church staff, who are not there all the time.)
I’ve looked for prior posts on this subject on this forum and couldn’t find quite what I was looking for, but then again I’m not the best at searching for things.
Can anyone give me hints, tips, information, etc… to help me out - I’m really hoping to attend this coming Sunday.
(P.S. - along with the desire to attend a LM, I’ve been wanting to receive communion on the tongue for quite some time and felt called to do so at Christmas mass this weekend, though almost no on else did… and it was amazing…it was a wonderfully spiritually moving moment
and this experience renewed my eagerness to try out the LM ASAP!)
