I’m looking for a solid catholic church in Pensacola where somebody can visit our Lord in Eucharistic adoration. Maybe even an adoration chapel would be great!
I live in the diocese and the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is in Pensacola. It appear’s from their website that they have Eucharistic Adoration at 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M on Friday
Just don’t drive over the Escambia Bridge to Milton. They say Milton has a church for every 3.5 people, and only one of those churches is Catholic. St. Rose makes me wonder. It hasn’t changed much since the 70s, except the building is in better shape. http://parishesonline.com/scripts/HostedSites/Org.asp?ID=14423
If you are an aviation student, go to Our Lady of Loretto Chapel at NAS Pensacola. If you are at Whiting Field, they farm their Catholics out to St. Rose, so no luck there. It’s too bad, because they used to have a wonderful Catholic chapel program, and named the chapel Cuppertino.
I’d like to put in a good word for St. Stephen’s, as well. Very traditional parish, right next to the diocese’s chancery offices, plus they have the Tridentine Latin Mass once a month (3rd Sunday at noon). It is also the place where the Benedictine Oblates (of which I am a member) meet on the first Sunday of the month between September and May. Feel free to check it out!
