Help needed with NAB translation of 2 Tim 4:2

I am a lector and have to read at Mass on Sunday. I am having difficulty with the current NAB translation for 2 Tim 4:1-2

*I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power: **2 *proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching.

Any ideas as to what "encourage through all patience and teaching"means? I want to get my inflection right and it’s just not apparent to me. The RSV-CE translation is “…be unfailing in patience and in teaching”, which makes a lot more sense to me. I may be missing somehing, but I can’t figure out where I should pause when I read those last few words.

What’s the difference? To me they mean exactly the same.

I’m not an apologist but I think the pause goes after encourage so that it is together with convince and reprimand because if you rearrange the word order to:
“through all patience and teaching
convince, reprimand, encourage” it still makes sense, but if you put encourage first
“encourage through all patience and teaching
convince, reprimand”
it doesn’t.

Maybe the commentary from the Navarre bible can help you with your question here.(The RSV words this part differently)

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching.

“In season and out of season”, that is even in adverse circumstances or when hearers are disinclined to accept the Christian message. Timothy and, like him, all other sacred ministers, out to behave towards the faithful in accordance with the demands of Christian Life and doctrine. “What do men want, what do they expect of the priest, the minister of Christ, the living sign of the presence of the Good Shepard? We would venture to say that, although they may not explicitly say so, they need, want and hope for a priest - priest, a priest through and through, a man who gives his life for them, by opening to them the horizons of the soul; a man who unceasingly exercises his ministry, who heart is capable of understanding, and a man who gives simply and joyfully, in season and even out of season, what he alone can give - the richness of grace, of divine intimacy which, through him, God wishes to distribute among mean” (A del Portillo, On Priesthood,p.66)

NAB 1970 edition words this differently. “v.2 I charge you to preach the word, to stay with this task whether convenient or inconvenient-correcting, reproving, appealing**-constantly teaching and never losing patience**.” The following is thefootnotes on 2 Tm 4:2-5…“Patience, courage, constancy, and endurance are required despite the opposition, hostility, indifference, and defection of many to whom the truth has been preached.”
