I’m trying to find where it says something about, scripture is not for personal interpretaion. I know I read it somewhere in the bible but I can’t seem to find it. I am drawing a blank right know. Maybe some force is trying to stop me from helping someone right now.

So please, I could use all your help guys. Thanks you.

20But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,

**2 Peter 3:16 **
16as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Hey onmyway,

In looking at the context of these verses as fellowchristian brought up, notice starting with (2 Pet 1:20) these same people reject authority (2 Pet 2:10) which leads them to pervert the scriptures to their own destruction. (2 Pet 3:16)

Does this sound all too familiar or what ?
