Is it ok for a Catholic to wear to Star of David? My friends read that it means this: “Through the Jewish people’s long and often difficult history, we have come to the realization that our only hope is to place our trust in God. The six points of the Star of David symbolize God’s rule over the universe in all six directions: north, south, east, west, up and down.” So we’re curious if a Catholic should be able to wear the Jewish sign.

I honestly don’t see why not. It’s a symbol from the Old Testament, which we also believe in.

While I think it may confuse many people, I do not see anything intrinsically wrong with it. It might be particularly interesting if you wore a crucifix with it.

Now that you mention it, I work with a protastant girl that does that. Only it’s just a cross & not a crucifix.

When you stop and think about it, we follow the teachings of a devout Jew, don’t we? I don’t see why it wouild be wrong (and I LOVE the idea of wearing it with a crucifix).
